DCSL Software are looking for a Full Stack Javascript Developer to join their team. Our Javascript Developers apply amazing designs to our innovative products.  This would includes translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and apply new user-facing features;
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use;
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs;
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability;
  • Ensure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end;
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of web mark up, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • At least one of: Vue.js / AngularJS / Angular / React / Knockout or similar
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • Experience with package managers such as npm, Bower
  • Familiar with webpack, Gulp, etc. for front end package bundling/building tasks
  • Familiar with Razor Pages / CSHTML
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT, TFS
  • Familiar with .NET environment
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that an application will adhere to them
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
  • Good fundamental knowledge of ES6
  • Knowledge of Typescript would be a bonus

Location:

Candidates have the option to work in our Central London or Farnborough office (within an hour’s commute of Kingston-Upon-Thames, Guildford, Basingstoke, Camberley, Woking, Aldershot, Bracknell, Fleet, Staines-Upon-Thames, Weybridge, Reading, SW London, and Maidenhead).
